Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) has added another significant study to its important works in the field of animal husbandry. MAKÜ has signed an important project not only on large and small livestock but also for pets in the field of animal husbandry.
MAKÜ, in collaboration with Zurich Insurance, offers pet health insurance services to pet owners. This innovative insurance, called "Neşeli Patiler Pet Insurance," secures cats and dogs in emergencies and other health issues. MAKÜ Animal Hospital provides comprehensive support for our cat and dog friends for emergencies and many diseases within the framework of the agreement made with Zurich Insurance.
Additionally, within the scope of the agreement provided with Zurich Insurance, pet insurance service is offered to a wide audience through MAKÜ Animal Hospital, which has the feature of being the largest animal hospital in the region, in cooperation with other different insurance companies that the mentioned company collaborates with.
Neşeli Patiler Pet Insurance makes it possible for pets to receive inpatient or outpatient treatment at the Zurich Contracted MAKÜ Animal Hospital during their treatment processes.
Prof. Dr. Ali Reha Ağaoğlu, Chief Physician of MAKÜ Animal Hospital, who made a statement on the subject, stated that they made such an agreement so that pet owners can receive services economically and comprehensively; “Within the scope of the agreement we made, there are two different policies, standard and premium. The standard package includes emergency interventions for injuries and sudden illnesses, while the premium package provides coverage for all health problems. The animals we secure need to be between 6 months and 10 years old. In addition, it is required that all of them are vaccinated, have their health follow-ups done, and are registered (chipped) in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry system.” he said.
